2004 CSWA-S
Summer
Institute
Held August 21, 2004
Though
the official title of this year’s Summer Institute was “Marital Therapy:
Working with Couples,” the underlying theme and not-so-hidden agenda was
“Food for the Mind, Body and Spirit.”
Steve Fishack LCSW presented ably on the official topic of the Institute and
the discussion among Institute participants enhanced the experience for
everyone. Our minds were well fed.
T
he
assembled multitude was responsible for the presentation of the underlying theme
- the feeding
of
the body and spirit – and we attained this goal with ease.
The group received extra credit for excellence in consumption and
conversation.
Two types of CEU’s were awarded. CSWAS
offered 3 Continuing Education Units and the attendees awarded themselves
Cooking & Eating Units.
A
ftercare
plans call for a follow-up visit next year.
Boo Hornstein prepared his fabulous boiled shrimp
but
noted a bit of performance anxiety since he has done so well for so many years
in a row. The plan calls for
exposure therapy for the next five sessions in order to reduce this anxiety. A
group format is recommended.
