The Tisha Abolt Graduate Assistantship Fund, established as a living legacy to Tisha Abolt, daughter of Chatham County Administrator Russ Abolt and his wife, Diane, provides tuition and a monthly stipend for a Savannah-area graduate student in UGA's social work.

Tisha Abolt died April 8, 2000, from injuries suffered in a car wreck near Athens the day before. The 24-year-old student, a 1993 graduate of St. Vincent's Academy, was scheduled to graduate that spring.
