Tisha Abolt Assistantship Fundraiser

Johnson Square was hoppin' and  boppin'  on November 4th  2005 as CSWA-S and many other community groups came together to pay tribute to Tisha Abolt and raise money for a University of Georgia Social Work Assistantship in her honor.  First established as a non-endowed fund in memory of Tisha, a gifted MSW student from the coastal Georgia area who lost her life in a car accident just weeks before graduation. The purpose of this fund is to provide financial support to a student in the UGa MSW Program who is from the Coastal Georgia area, and efforts are underway to endow the fund so that it will remain a part of the School in perpetuity.

Net profit from the Johnson Square Event was $6,000!!!  The check was presented to the University of Georgia Dean, Maurice Daniels on January 25th
